HIPSTORIC DAY TRIP TOURS-Our Exclusive Private Day Trip itineraries will take you on a casual journey across Old World Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. Your unique experience will begin at a preferred historic location, followed by lunch at a quaint and historic small town's main street. Then, having enjoyed the area’s unique historic context, we’ll head over to an amazing local craft brewery or a boutique winery with breathtaking vineyard views, the perfect setting to take it all in!

On our way, we'll dive into the history of our destination & its relationship with the region's wineries & breweries. We will take you to amazing destinations and provide you with helpful guidance, information, and recommendations.

    • We can pre-arrange exclusive on-site winery tours and private tastings with winemakers or sommeliers, allowing enthusiasts to sample rare vintages or limited-production wines. VIP treatment might include special access, personalized attention, and behind-the-scenes experiences. Fees may vary depending on the winery and the experience.
    • Historic sites may provide one or a combination of the following: tour guides, museums, exhibits, markers, and area maps. Some sites, wineries and/or breweries are open and staffed seasonally and some only on certain days.  Some sites are free while others require the purchase of tickets in advance. We’ll help you in choosing (or) creating the perfect itinerary, including assisting with your specific logistical needs (tickets / reservations). Contact us for details.

10.   The Context: George Washington’s last act as Commander in Chief

Saturday and Sunday 9-5

01  Starting point

On this unique Day Trip, you will be able to explore the many museums / exhibitions, and enjoy lunch in Annapolis, Maryland—Maryland’s state capital which also served as the seat of the Confederation Congress and as the temporary nation’s capital in 1783-1784. It was in the Capitol Building that George Washington resigned his commission as Commander of the Continental Army on December 23, 1783 and where the Treaty of Paris was ratified, marking the official end of the Revolutionary War. Other attractions include: The State Capitol, 4 homes of Declaration of Independence Signers- William Paca, Samuel Chase, Charles Carroll and Thomas Stone, and the Banneker/Douglas Museum.

12.   The Context: John Brown’s Raid (October 16, 1859)

On this unique Day Trip, you will visit and explore the many museums / exhibitions, and enjoy lunch in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia- A unique town of incomparable beauty located at the convergence of the Potomac and Shenandoah  rivers; so beautiful that Thomas Jefferson himself wrote that "this scene is worth a voyage across the Atlantic". It is best known for being the site of John Brown's famous raid on the US Federal Arsenal, often though as the spark that ignited the US Civil War.
